A third generation African-American Baptist preacher of the Gospel under the Lordship of Jesus the Christ. He completed all of his post-secondary education in Virginia, (Virginia Union University/Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology) where he began to  pastor at the age of 22.

Pastor Vincent Thomas was raised in the home of a Baptist Minister, the late Rev. Dr. Charles E. Thomas, Pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ and the late Myrtle O. Thomas. He participated in various youth and church activities throughout his development, such as: Jr. Deacon, Men’s Day Captain, Choir, Usher, Finance Committee, Jr. Missionaries, basketball team and Youth Day Speaker. In addition to athletics, Pastor Thomas served in the University Pastor’s office as a peer counselor, was active on the Council on Religion, hosted worship services on campus and led the VUU Gospel Choir. GOD has gifted this preacher/pastor with vision, administration and leadership. He possesses excellent worship skills and is an effective communicator of the Gospel.

Pastor Thomas has been the under-shepherd of four households of faith. Macedonia Baptist Church in Heathsville, VA, First Gravel Hill Baptist Church, Smithfield, VA, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenville, SC and presently, Bethesda Baptist Church in Jersey City, NJ.

Rev. Thomas is the father of three children: Aime’e Monique (30), Vincent Andrew “Drew”(22), and Nathaniel Brent (21).

The theme for Pastor Thomas’ ministry has been: “if I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living will not be in vain.”
